Most people worry about this — so we built everything around it. There's no app: your people tap the link and record from their phone in a couple of minutes, with gentle prompts to guide them. And our team shapes whatever comes in into a complete story.
Will it feel like a cheesy slideshow?
No. Our studio crafts a true story arc with refined audio, color, score, captions, and title and chapter cards. A real person reviews and finishes every film before delivery. It's a film, not a template.
Is $1,200 the full price?
Yes — one flat price, tax included. No subscriptions, no upsells, no per-person fees. It covers a finished, human-crafted film your family will keep forever, made by a team that handles everything. And it's backed by The Dearly Promise: if you're not delighted, we refund every dollar and you keep the film.
I'm not tech-savvy. Can I still do this?
Yes. You never touch editing software — if you can send a text, you can do this. We handle all of the production, and a real person is always a reply away.
The service is only days away. Is there time?
We're built for this. Once everyone has contributed and you ask us to begin, most films arrive the next day; richer stories can take up to three days. You can choose when our studio begins production.
What if it doesn't feel like them?
We'll revise it until it does — as many times as you need. And if you're still not delighted, The Dearly Promise means a full refund, and you keep the film.
Is it private?
Yes. Your link is private — anyone you share it with can add a message, but only you manage the room, and the finished film is shared only with the people you choose.
What do friends and family need to contribute?
No app — just a supported browser and a quick verification code so we know who's contributing. They open the link and record or upload their message right there.
How many people can contribute?
There's no limit — five voices or five hundred. Films find their fullest shape around twenty or more contributors, so share the link generously. We'll take it from there.
How long is the finished film?
It depends on how many voices join. With twenty or more contributors, films often run twenty minutes or longer — a full portrait, with a beginning, middle, and end.
Can anyone in the family pay?
Yes. Any one person in the family can cover the $1,200 flat price.
What if someone records after the film is delivered?
Late messages are always welcome. Once they contribute, the organizer can request a new version at no extra cost.
Do you keep the raw videos too?
Contributors can revisit their own messages in the room. The finished film remains available to watch and download, and the room never expires.
What should people say on camera?
Everyone receives a few gentle prompts with the link — a favorite memory, a story, what they'd want them to know. No preparation needed.
Can this be for someone who is still with us?
Yes — families create Dearly films for milestone birthdays, anniversaries, and retirements. The process is identical. The only difference is they get to watch it.
How is this different from other memorial video services?
Most services are software — templates that stitch clips together, or slideshow tools you operate yourself. Dearly is a studio: we craft the film from your family's messages, and a real person reviews and finishes it before delivery. Nothing for you to edit, ever.
